How to Bring Scrap Metal
Instructions and guidelines for individuals bringing scrap metal to our facility.
Step 1: Prepare Your Scrap
Ensure all materials are reasonably clean, free of fluids, and separated according to type (ferrous vs non-ferrous). Do not bring sealed containers, tanks, or hazardous materials.
Step 2: Bring Your Scrap to Our Facility
Visit Durant Metal Shredding at 701 S McLean St, Durant, OK 74701 during business hours: Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM. We are closed Saturday and Sunday.
Step 3: Weigh & Evaluate
Our team will weigh your scrap and evaluate materials for safety and compliance with regulations. Certain items may be refused if they are unsafe or contaminated.
Step 4: Payment
Once your materials are accepted, payment is issued based on type and weight. We strive for fair transactions and efficient processing for all public customers.
